The Gossip Mirror: the image / the self / surveillance / intimacy, 2025

Presentation of the ongoing research around the structures of representation and the development of individuality seen through the lens of the gossip mirror (gadespejl, in Danish), a type of periscope with origins in the 1800s attached to the outside window of a house, allowing people--most of the times women-positioned in their houses to see down the street, in both directions, without people knowing that they are being watched
